Concepts

RadarOpus Concepts

is a unique tool that helps you to translate the language of your patients into the language of the repertory. Concepts contain links to rubrics based on clinical pictures as well as themes and keywords that your patient might have used throughout the consultation.

This Module for RadarOpus comes with the Lite package & stretches through the entire Synthesis Repertory, considerably simplifying the search for symptoms by using the words and expressions of the patient as a point of departure. A click of the mouse is sufficient to display all the symptoms related to a given concept or subject.

Concept documents are designed to greatly increase access to all symptoms by starting from a patient’s words or expressions.

There are numerous ‘books’ available within the module. Each book groups symptoms by different ideas or themes. Now you can find every rubric of chronic and acute disease conditions, which in the past may have taken many hours, or even days to locate. Concepts represents a revolutionary advance in the ease and usefulness of the homeopathic repertory.

The endless lists of symptoms and appropriate remedies become understandable if they are broken down into themes. Even the most concealed symptom can be found if one is guided to it via a theme such as ‘responsibility’, ‘animals’, or clinical expressions such as Alzheimers etc. For example, you can look in the Zulian index for themes that link to suggested rubrics within Synthesis. Or you can enter a keyword in the search function and search in all concepts to see if there are any ‘hits’ in concepts documents.

Translate the language of your patient into the language of the repertory

A patient may not provide the most accurate words to describe how he or she is feeling. It is up to the practitioner to recognize patterns, symptoms or key words during the interview process. This can sometimes make diagnosis very difficult for a homeopath. This is to be expected – we are all very different, and our language leaves room for much uncertainty around the ‘concept’ of the patient’s problem.

Simplify locating rubrics with these concepts that make suggestions for you

you never knew existed. Concepts sets RadarOpus apart from any other homeopathic software program currently available. With Concepts, finding any symptom in the repertory is as easy as a few simple mouse clicks.

Three ways to use concepts and themes

    • Find a symptom in the Synthesis Repertory and see whether there are any Concepts available for the symptom (indicated by the icon).concept If there are, you can open the book which and consult any other symptoms described. We call this: Finding a concept from a rubric.
    • Books such as Schroyens Acute Diseases contain specific clinical pictures, or more general symptoms such as “dullness”, “animals”, “nausea”, etc. You can then go to a particular rubric within Synthesis with a single click.
  • Concepts may also be attached to remedies.
